First Open Days: everox welcomes global industry partners and investment leaders to showcase first commercial concrete upcycling plant

The first Open Days 2026 marked a significant milestone for everox as construction advances on its first commercial-scale concrete upcycling plant in The Netherlands, executed together with joint venture partner Dura Vermeer. The facility is permitted to process annually 100,000 tons of concrete demolition waste, recovering gravel, sand and cement for reuse in new concrete and cement, turning concrete into a circular product for the first time.

Visitors received an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the everox technology through technical presentations, industrial scale pilot plant demonstrations and a site visit of the flagship. Experts from everox presented the scientific and commercial foundations of the company’s patented process, which recovers all fractions from concrete waste, transforming them into four circular construction materials. Unlike conventional recycling, the technology enables Activated Cement Paste (ACP) to replace up to 30% of cement in new concrete, unlocking significantly greater value and CO₂ savings. By processing concrete waste close to urban centers, where both the feedstock and demand for construction materials are concentrated, everox enables the creation of local circular value chains that reduce transport requirements and keep valuable resources in supply where they are needed most.

The event attracted representatives from leading construction companies, recycling businesses, concrete and cement manufacturers, as well as global investors. Their participation reflects growing international interest in creating an entirely new market by making concrete fully circular. With more than 3 billion tons of concrete waste generated globally every year, the opportunity to transform waste into circular construction materials is attracting increasing attention from industry and investors alike. Importantly, the everox ACP represents a readily available supplementary cementitious material (SCM), at a time when traditional SCMs are reducing in availability.

Alongside the development of its commercial-scale facility, everox continues to expand the everox Garden in Rotterdam. The facility processes concrete waste samples under real operating conditions, enabling the prediction of material yields and assessing the economic viability of concrete waste streams. Since 2022, everox has processed several thousand tonnes of concrete waste through its pilot operations, generating the data required to validate future commercial deployments.

As demand for circular construction solutions grows across global markets, everox aims to work with partners throughout the construction value chain, including recyclers, demolition companies, cement and concrete producers, project developers and infrastructure investors. With plans to develop additional facilities across Europe, the United Kingdom, North America, the Middle East and Asia, everox is building the foundation for a global concrete upcycling network.

everox is working with strategic partners and investors to accelerate international growth and support its planned Series B funding round in early 2027. The company has already secured €10 million in Series A financing and has received an EIC grant of €2.5 million.
