Rudus and everox sign MoU to advance circular concrete in Finland

We are proud to announce that everox and Rudus Oy, a CRH company, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to explore the development of a concrete upcycling plant in Finland.

The partnership brings together everox’s patented concrete upcycling technology and Rudus’ leading position in the Finnish construction materials market, with the shared ambition of accelerating the transition towards a circular, low-carbon construction industry.

As part of the collaboration, the companies will assess the development of a concrete waste upcycling facility in the Helsinki region. By combining local concrete waste streams with advanced processing technology, the partnership aims to create new circular value chains for construction materials while reducing CO₂ emissions and the use of virgin resources.

The cooperation builds on a successful testing program in which concrete waste from Finland was processed and evaluated at the everox Garden in Rotterdam and approving counter tests of Rudus. The results demonstrated the potential to transform end-of-life concrete into high-quality circular construction materials, including a supplementary cementitious material (SCM).

With this collaboration, everox and Rudus are laying the foundations for the potential development of new circular construction technology in Finland, supporting the industry’s transition towards a more resource-efficient and low-carbon future.
