Veep Project

Rotterdam, 06 February 2020

VEEP is a Horizon 2020 project aimed at developing an economical method to recycle construction and demolition waste into high-quality, energy-efficient prefab panels.

In this project, Everox (formerly C2CA Technology B.V.) collaborated with GBN and TU Delft to refine a recycling technique that transforms old concrete rubble into drop-in materials for new concrete production. This sustainable process reuses coarse (gravel), fine (sand), and ultra-fine (cement paste) aggregates. Special focus was brought on the fine fraction to be repurposed for circular silica Aerogel production, a high-quality insulation material used in the wall panels.
